In the event of an infected tooth, or multiple infected teeth, our experienced dentists can conduct root canal or endodontic therapy.
Root Canal treatment can be done with a local injection to the area, but you may prefer the option of going under an anaesthetic.
Most of our sleep dentistry patients overcome their fear of the dentist after their first sleep treatment. Learn more about our Sleep Dentistry.
What is Root Canal Treatment?
The root canal itself refers to the cavity inside the tooth, which is filled with soft pulp and nerves. When this tissue inside the root canal is damaged, an infection can occur, leading to swelling of the neck and face, bone loss around the tooth’s root and inflammation and pain.
The procedure is performed in order to remove the damaged nerve and pulp from inside the affected tooth. The inside of the tooth is also thoroughly cleaned and sealed to prevent further infection.
